Last night Cheryl Cole was axed by X Factor boss Simon Cowell. Apparently she had no chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul. Quite frankly I imagine most people would have trouble getting along with her, despite the valid reason of lack of chemistry rumor seems to be flying that she got the boot because of her accent. Now for me, that's pretty diabolical, yes she has a thick accent but surely this falls under some kind of discrimination act. I mean, even I miss some of the things she says sometimes on the UK X Factor, but I would have thought that she'd have enough universal appeal to keep her job on the show longer than she has.

Smodcast Internet Radio - SIR!
On May 9th Kevin Smith launched his latest addition to The Smodcast Network, SIR! An internet radio station consisting of two shows per day including 'Plus One Per Diem' with his wife Jennifer Schwalbach. And Jay and Silent Bob Get Jobs with long time friend and heterosexual life mate Jason Mewes.
The Network is currently in it's third week of broadcast and is sitting high with a lot of fans. In my opinion SIR is one of the best moves of Smith's career, he is able to operate an entire radio station from his home and is doing a great job with it. Both shows are showing a lot of promise with 'Plus One Per Diem' bringing in guests such as Michael K. Williams (Star of hit US Series 'The Wire') and Mick Foley (Author, Professional Wrestler). Plus One is my personal favorite show of the two because the chemistry between Kevin and his wife Jen never fails to keep me amused.
'Jay and Silent Bob Get Jobs' also shows real promise with all the usual fun and games of the 'Jay and Silent Bob Get Old' podcast but with added fun because of the live feed.
One complaint I've heard from people which I completely disagree with is the amount of ads during the shows. Personally, this is not an issue for me. You're getting a free show! Is a few ads really going to affect how much you enjoy the show?
